Cathal has worked with Quinn Architects since he was 13, first coming to the office to help out his father and grandfather during Summer holidays. After studying Architecture in the UK and France, and a period of working in the UK and USA, he returned to the family practice in 2003. Cathal completed his professional exams in 2007 and took over the management of the practice in 2012, leading the practice into new sectors including Medical Devices and Pharma as well as managing the transition to working with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and offering the additional services of Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier.
Over the past 20 years Cathal has worked on a wide range of projects, ranging from his first project to convert a disused church for use as a Centre for the Performing Arts to two significant healthcare developments for Milford Care Centre based around masterplan studies for their campus and including expanded Daycare facilities, a new Hospice and a refurbishment and expansion of Nursing Home accommodation. Cathal has delivered projects across Primary, Secondary and Third-level in the Education sector and worked in R&D in the area of Medical Devices.
Cathal brings his long experience and analytical skills to work with Clients to further define their needs and clarify their brief requirements so that the end building meets and exceeds those needs.
