Project Description
The St. Johns N.S. Building was designed by the renowned Limerick born Architect Andrew Devane and constructed in the 1970’s. A concrete framed building with brick in-fill, the original structure had deteriorated badly and Quinn Architects were commissioned to oversee an extensive refurbishment project. After repairs to the existing concrete structure, the entire building was clad in external insulation and plastered in colours to create a stimulating learning environment. The thermal performance of the old building was significantly improved. All works were carried out on a phased basis between 2005-2006 with school remaining operational throughout the works.
